Message Center Agents

Our Message Center Agents act as virtual receptionists and switchboard operators, taking messages and connecting callers to their desired party on behalf of a wide range of clients. Our client types include doctor’s offices, HVAC companies, plumbing companies, apartment complexes, ambulance services, funeral homes, crisis lines, school districts, telephone companies, and many more. You would join a team of professionals capable of handling a wide range of challenging situations and who function as a team when difficult decisions are required. Message Center Agent responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Handle customer calls, despite the degree of difficulty, in a courteous and business-like fashion

  • Contribute to decisions made as a team even while working independently

  • Support our team values and augment our positive culture

  • Process client requests and meet client demands in a fast paced environment

  • Adapt to rapid changes based on client requests

  • Maximize efficiency and quality at an individual level

  • Strive to meet or exceed average answer time and average work time goals on a consistent basis

  • Adhere to Company attendance, punctuality, and meal and rest break requirements

  • React positively to an ongoing, changing environment

  • Maintain good working relationship with assigned supervisors and coworkers

  • Perform additional duties as required by management

Core Requirements:

  • Type 40 wpm or better

  • Possess strong multi-tasking skills

  • Superb verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • High school diploma

  • Previous customer service experience/secretarial experience is preferred

  • Must have basic troubleshooting skills for internet outages
